“Contemporary Rustic” is a hit at Zow

Blp’s new design theme for Zow in Bad Salzuflen this year, “Contemporary Rustic”, proved to be a huge success (www.blpuk.com), taking the latest trends for greener, natural and family lifestyles but with clean lines and the addition of contemporary objects. The shaker style cabinet doors within “Contemporary Rustic” were displayed in exotic woodgrain prints such as the Venosta, Core beech, Chateau pine, Corviglia pear, Tiepolo walnut and were all attracting the attention of visitors on the stand.
“Contemporary” and “Traditional” were another two themes that Blp demonstrated at Zow. Heritage colours such as Sage and Duck egg were mixed with finishes such as pippy oak to create a traditional country feel. Bold colours, high gloss finishes and the new grey tones such as Grey oak were featured in the “Contemporary” section. A company always known for wanting to exhibit something a bit different, Blp featured a full solid glass door in black, deep red, blue and green. A door design they are not usually well known for but the glass panel was mounted onto a aluminium foil wrapped frame and created a modern handle-less door that would look fantastic in the kitchen, bedroom or bathroom and had everyone on the stand stopping to examine it further.
Barry Berman continues: “We first introduced the individual design themes at Zow last year and as they proved to be hugely popular, we wanted to keep the idea for 2008 whilst at the same time introducing a new concept, such as the ‘Contemporary Rustic’. Our themes of Traditional, Modern & Contemporary, enable us to demonstrate a variety of door designs and finishes, offering something for everyone in the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and furniture manufacturing industries”.
