Verona: all for furniture

The international furniture days are back: the 23rd event of Abitare il Tempo will be held again at the Verona fair from 18th to 22nd September 2008.
The sales offer for 2008 is meant to be articulated, involving all furniture areas. 750 exhibitors will take part in this edition. Among these, some Italian excellencies as well as famous brands from abroad stand out. There will be 7 halls on a 70 thousand square meter exhibition surface.
Regarding the number of visitors, made of operators, buyers, interior designers, trendsetters and journalists worldwide, an increase is expected. Particularly last year, 53,702 visitors took part in the event with 20% coming from 96 countries, and Russia on the lead.
From this year, “Abitare il Tempo” aims at gradually renewing the graphic layout and the installations of its halls, making them more functional, pleasant and welcoming.
A launching platform for emerging talents, a promotion, communication and research forum, a testing and innovation laboratory, an international showcase for news and trends: this is “Abitare il Tempo”: a hotbed where arts and ancient jobs meet the industry to draw new interior design concepts. Its added value is represented by exhibitions on design and quality handicraft; innovative solutions within “Architetture d’Interni”; innovative contract solutions in the “Linking People” area, covering together three halls, with 30 thousand square meters.
Hall number 8 will host the big “Design Mix” exhibition designed by Giulio Cappellini and focused on the formal and technological innovation within the world of design.
In the external area before hall number 2 and 4, there will be an exhibition of the architect Vittorio Locatelli presenting his best products in terms of high decoration level within a setting with great visual impact.
The title of the architect’s exhibition is “Attraverso lo specchio” (Through the mirror) and it aims at showing the relentless flowing of time and space. An endless trip in which furniture and objects take turns, as symbols of excellence and quality.
