Record attendance at Klagenfurt for the 50th Timber Fair

The anniversary Timber Fair in Klagenfurt, which ended last 31st August, is breaking all records: in addition to the all-time highest number of exhibitors (453 companies from 22 countries), also the number of visitors could be increased by 5 percent to 21,000. It is particularly striking that already every third visitor came from abroad. Leading among the share of trade visitors from foreign countries was Germany (35%), followed by Italy (33%) and Slovenia(20%). Also an increase from Switzerland, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Hungary could be noticed.
Among the favourite segments this year were wood processing, sawmill technology and forest machinery.
In two years, namely from 26thto 29thAugust 2010, the 51st International Timber Fair will take place on Klagenfurt Exhibition Grounds. Apart from numerous new topics, particularly the target group of Carpenters should be given a larger and complete exhibition programme.
