Double dates with Scm Group

Open houses have become frequent events also in the woodworking industry, as they are an occasion to draw the attention of your guests and introduce your latest news and entire machine portfolio within an “exclusive” setting.

Scm Group is back, trying to stimulate slagging demand by inviting users, agents and resellers to two events, each dedicated to specific technology and targeted to specific audiences.

 

EDGEBANDING IN THIENE

Let’s start from panel processing: a new edition of “Technology days” is coming up in Thiene (Vicenza). From 12 to 15 October, Scm Group is dedicated four days to the presentation of the latest and most innovative solutions for edgebanding and squaring-edgebanding.

At “Technology Days Edgebanding & More” – that’s the name of the event – the Rimini-based group will show its latest creations to its furniture industry customers. The new solutions all aim at maximum customer satisfaction in a flexibility-hungry market looking for technology to optimize and integrate all production process stages.

The program includes technical insights and demos about new products, such as the single-sided edgebanding machine “One Touch” by Stefani, conceived and engineered for intuitive edgebanding and high productivity using pre-cut strips, solid wood and plastic edges in rolls, using the “Easy glue industry” gluing aggregate for different types of glue or color, with fully automated changeover. The new “Microdosing” device performs intelligent and optimized glue dosing, while the new software “Win Edge Touch” combines 3D preview technology with convenient touchscreen commands and icons.

The “Solution Hds” edgebander delivers new quality/price standards, thanks to a new and innovative gluing technology, “Slim line K”, that generates a glue beam with perfect geometry. Another highlight in Thiene will be the single-sided edgebanding machine “Solution” with new-generation optical technology.

For perfect-cut squaring, Stefani has developed “V-System Perfect Cut”, a new, highly effective technology. They will also show the new gluing unit “Panel Suite”, which allows to handle three edgebanding methods concurrently: new-generation optical edgebanding, traditional glues and “Slim , line” system by Stefani, for users requiring superior finishing quality.

The product lineup will be complete by the single-sided edgebanding machine “Solution Slim Line”, which delivers excellent visual results on doors, and by other machines complementary to edgebanding, including Morbidelli machining centers, Dmc sanding machines (System 75”, “System T2”, “System T3” and “Masterbrush K 1100”) and Gabbiani “Galaxy 3 130” panel saw.

 

On October 21 and 22, the event will be replicated in Rimini, with the third edition of “Scm Days” dedicated to Scm-branded solutions, introducing new and consolidated equipment for joiners. The event is organized in collaboration with the sales network, inviting Italian operators to experience how they could work in their workshops and offering an intensive program of hands-on tests and demos.

A wide range of equipment will be exhibited. Among these, the spindle molder “Ti155 Ep Class” (for profiling, sanding, head-milling on windows with glass stop recycling); the tenoning machine “Ten 220 Class” for male-female tenoning of window joints; the disk saw “SI 6500 L’invincibile”, with “wireless” controls to cut angular elements with ledges on “full support” frames.

More equipment running in Rimini will include the panel saw “Sigma Impact” (optimized cutting pattern and post-formed bar cutting); edgebanders “Olimpic” for Abs, thin or solid edgebanding and rounding; machining centers “Tech” (for special interior decoration parts) and “Pratix Z2” (nesting), and sanding machines “Sandya” to sand water-painted panels.

Scm engineers will be available on both days to meet guests and provide all kinds of information and insights.
