The forthcoming 2012 edition of Fluitrans Compomac, the Biennial International Exhibition of Fluid Power Transmission and Mechatronics, is to line up a wealth of new initiatives designed by the organizers to fully meet the exigencies of a public of technicians and engineers coming from all regions of the world and from all branches of manufacturing and process industries.
The upcoming edition of the show to be held at Fiera Milano from 8 thru 11 May 2012, in coincidence with Mechanical Power Transmission & Motion Control, has undergone a major overhaul at the behest of the organizers and promoters, keen to offer the principal companies of the industry the opportunity to actively participate in the success of the event.
That’s why a joint working group was set up, bringing together companies, Fiera Milano and ASSOFLUID, to sound out the expectations of the market and to single out the branches of applications and technology that call for the development of new initiatives at the fair.
From components to systems
The first major innovation is the expansion of the spectrum of exhibits and tutorials at the show, aimed at delivering to Fluidtrans Compomac and Mechanical Power Transmission & Motion Control 2012 visitors – technicians, design engineers, machinery, installations and systems makers – a comprehensive range of technology covering all applications and, with a view to systemic process, inclusive of all such components as are used in mobile and fixed machinery based on technology complementary to fluid power technology.
The second major innovation is the setting up of themed and application areas which will highlight the fundamental role of fluid power components in the search for innovative solutions in a number of industries. These highly specialized free-standing areas will feature some of the main machinery and systems makers who will line up their superior products.
Visitors will get a chance to find practical answers to their needs for up-to-date professional knowledge and insights through interaction and experience sharing with the technicians who designed the applications and through a wealth of tutorials and themed seminars organized in close partnership with universities, research centres and trade associations. The show will thus prove a one-stop-shop delivering a comprehensive combination of informative exhibits, ideas, solutions and opportunities. Two of the new application areas will focus on the innovative use of hydraulics in the mobile sectors and in the sector of renewable energy, in particular windmills.
The forthcoming edition of Fluidtrans Compomac will take place within the ambit of Technology Exhibitions Week (TEW), the week dedicated by Fiera Milano to the most important industrial technology trade fairs of the year. In the course of TEW, the fair centre will host not only industrial component shows like Fluidtrans Compomac and Mechanical Power Transmission & Motion Control, but also major shows that represent two of the more significant branches of application for component industry: Plast, the International Plastic and Rubber Materials Show, and Xylexpo, the World Biennial Timber Technology Show.
