“Nice to Meet you” is the presentation event to be held today 4th July, for the new environmental quality mark on products from the wood furniture industry, an experimental project promoted by the Livenza Furniture District in cooperation with the Ministry for the Environment and Economic Development, and with the technical support of Wwf Italy.
The objective of the convention, in addition to presentation of the project and of the mark, will be an exhibition of products bearing the “Green” mark.
Three pioneering companies in this field − Fantoni as well as Presotto and Petrovich Group − will have their certified products exhibited in the Council Chamber of the Provincial Authority Building until 10th July.
Two Fantoni products are entitled to carry the “Green Quality” mark:
The “Framework” office furniture collection
Framework fully complies with the environmental performance characteristics required for the mark, as it is made of 100 percent recycled chipboard.
The collection is itself 98 percent recyclable. The technical solutions developed allow very simple disassembly of “Framework” for fast and efficient sorting of materials. The structural components are epoxy powder painted, a particularly ‘green’ technique that involves a single painting phase and no dispersal of solvents into the environment.
The “4Akustik” sound-deadening system
4akustik is a unique sound-deadening system in the market as it in fact conforms to the F4 star rating of the Jis standard, certified by the Japanese ministry and considered to be the most stringent in the world, relating to ultra-low formaldehyde content and therefore safeguarding of the environment. A highly eco-compatible product therefore, suitable for use in public environments in which the customer seeks technical performance combined with sustainable solutions, without compromising on looks. “4Akustik” also has a class B-s2,d0 fire rating (EC classification).
The 4th July event will also include signing of the memorandum of intent with FederlegnoArredo (the Italian Association of Furniture Manufacturers) which will sanction extension of the experiment from its local phase to a national phase, as part of the imminent constitution of a Cluster of national furniture industries, guided by the same Federation.
Italian ecological furniture is now easy to recognise: it bears the “Green” industry mark.
