After the successful third edition of the World Trade Fair for used technology in April of this year, Usetec 2014 will open its doors to the world next year from Monday, 5 to Wednesday, 7 May 2014 in the northern halls of Koelnmesse, Hall 6 and the adjacent outdoor area.
Usetec 2014 will present itself as “stand alone” event with a clear focus on used machines and equipment for all areas of the manufacturing industry.
With 70 percent of the buyers being end customers (the rest being machinery dealers), a high rate of first time visitors and 92 percent of visitors authorised to make decisions, Usetec is a real “show to buy”.
The online platform www.usetec.com, showing the latest machine offers of the leading suppliers of used technology all year round, is often the first contact to the professional used machinery market for many entrepreneurs from developing countries. The Usetec organisers together with its partner associations aim at supporting the customers in finding the right machines and making it easier for them to conclude deals. For this, checklists are being offered for the purchase of good quality used technology “made and presented in Germany”. On site at the show, buyers can then look at the machines and negotiate face to face, often followed by a visit to the warehouses of various suppliers, a few 100 kilometres away from the Usetec fairground.
The Usetec outdoor area is home to a wide range of mobile equipment in the areas of lifting appliances and conveyors, construction machinery, agricultural machines and commercial vehicles. The event’s date in May 2014 ensures the best possible presentation conditions. The cathedral city of Cologne thus offers a wide selection of outdoor and indoor venues for concluding successful business transactions in a relaxed atmosphere.
The exhibition features used machinery and equipment for every sector and branch of industry – from woodworking and metalworking machine tools to plastics processing machinery, robotics and automation, construction machinery, agricultural technology, commercial vehicles, printing machinery and food processing machines. The Usetec range is completed by the service companies exhibiting, which provide everything from retrofitting to freight forwarding, and naturally the area of tools and moulds as even used machine tools require good tools for manufacturing.
