New Chief executive officer for Lenze

The Supervisory Board of Lenze SE, based in Hamelin, has appointed Dipl.-Ing. Christian Wendler to be the new Chief Executive Officer as of 1 January 2014. Born in Munich, Christian Wendler has been a member of the company’s Executive Board since April 2013. He succeeds Dr.Ing. Erhard Tellbüscher, who retired on 31 December 2013 after eleven years as Ceo and almost 27 years with the company. Lenze employs almost 3,300 people worldwide and is represented in 60 countries by its own sales companies, development sites, production plants, logistics centres, and a network of service partners.

In his tenure as Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Erhard Tellbüscher had a successful impact on the fortunes of the company and set its future course with a series of key measures. Under his leadership, for example, the internationalisation of the company was intensified, and there was a successful expansion of the market-oriented drive and automation portfolio,helping the company to achieve its goal of becoming a supplier of systems and a specialist in motion-centric automation. Christian Wendler, who now takes over the baton from Dr.Tellbüscher, has a proven track record as an expert in the industry and he is a successful executive with experience of international management.
