Sixteenth edition for the historic appointment with the World Furniture Outlook, the International seminar dedicated to the furniture and furnishing market organized by Csil, Centro Studi Industria Leggera, in collaboration with Scm, Biesse and Xylexpo, which – as every year – takes place during the Milan Furniture Fair.
On April 18th, in the presence of an audience of journalists and professionals, two experienced Csil operators – Alessandra Tracogna and Mauro Spinelli – together with a panel of six country experts took stock of the furniture sector, focusing on those that they will be the main factors that will influence not only the trend of global furniture production (whose total value stands at around 440 billion US dollars), but also consumption and trade. Overall general optimism emerged from the conference, deriving not only from the positive results of 2017, which confirm the growth trend of the last five years, but also from the forecasts for the next two years which, although increasingly difficult to outline, undoubtedly future with a certain optimism.
On the next issue of Xylon we will have the opportunity to present in more detail the most significant data emerged from yesterday’s seminar.
