Rubner Objektbau, a Rubner Group company specialized in turnkey wooden buildings, announces that it has achieved – first in Italy – the certification “S.A.L.E. + “1 / FLA / 2018, extension of the protocol S.A.L.E. dedicated to all those wood builders who guarantee a particular experience and technical-organizational capacity for the management of orders considered to be complex. With “S.A.L.E. +”, the investor and client can be sure of having a reliable business partner for the development of the entire engineering work, with particular reference to the terms of engineering of the same and the relative correct architectural design.
“Wood is an ancient raw material, one of the most used in the world − says Alessandro Lacedelli, Ceo Rubner Objektbau. “It is therefore one of the most tested structural materials and, if properly worked, selected, designed, offers security guarantees no less than those offered by other construction materials, both in the case of solid wood, laminated wood, and derived materials from the wood. Nowadays, the synergistic use of millenary experiences and contemporary technologies allows the construction of multi-storey wooden buildings (for example, residential condominiums), able to combine aesthetics, functionality and economy with surprising results. Problems can arise only when the person who built them has not built well. This is why it is important to protect the “wood – building” chain that enhances the work of companies with strong technical and organizational skills in managing the various phases of construction: from controls in acceptance of materials to executive design, from prefabrication of elements in the plant up to the technical criteria of site management“.
What is S.A.L.E.
Who builds in wood must know perfectly the behavior of the material both from an engineering and technological point of view. To identify the manufacturers of certain experience and of a certain technical and organizational capacity on the market, FederlegnoArredo has defined a quality protocol which takes the name of S.A.L.E (“Sistema Affidabilità Legno Edilizia”, in English is “Wood Building Reliability System”), drawn up together with credit and insurance institutions and regulated from clear and verifiable quality standards, not so much related to the built wooden building, but to the operational/production methods implemented by the manufacturer in order to guarantee the conformity of the work in its various phases. The certification devised by FederlegnoArredo provides for an initial inspection visit to the plant and to the construction site, as well as a periodic surveillance audit every year. In other words, the customer who wants a wooden building can use in Italy, since 2015, a protocol used as an effective tool to protect the supply chain.
