The International timber fair and Holz&Bau trade shows will be held at the Klagenfurt Exhibition Centre on 30,000 square metres of exhibition space from 29 August to 1 September 2018. The 500 exhibitors from 22 nations give impressive proof of the value chain: from forestry to sawmill technology, from green energy to logistics, from structural engineering with timber to joinery and carpentry supplies. The highlights this year include the Innovation Area, a meeting of forest managers and the new exhibition focus on hunting “Treffpunkt Jagd”. Following a request from the industry, this important specialist trade exhibition will extend from Wednesday to Saturday this year for the first time in its history.
It is the flagship of Kaerntner Messen and is held every two years at Klagenfurt Exhibition Grounds: the International timber fair and Holz&Bau – this year from 29 August to 1 September. “21,500 trade visitors from Austria and abroad make it the leading specialist trade event for the forest management and timber industry in Central and Southeast Europe“, say Marie-Luise Mathiaschitz, President of Kärntner Messen, and Ceo Erich Hallegger. According to a survey conducted by the market research company “Der Ladler”, 50 percent of visitors at the last event said they were the sole decision-makers in their companies.
