Scm is the exclusive supplier of the woodworking workshop of the new Training Center for Wood Furniture – ITS Rosario Messina Foundation, inaugurated on Thursday 8 November in Lentate sul Seveso (Monza Brianza). Among the most ambitious projects in the field of professional training in the wood sector in Italy, Scm provided the Center the best of its production. “About twenty machines – underlines Luca Bergantini, head of Scm Italy branch – which represent the wide range of Scm technologies for the wood and furniture industry, from small craftsmen to large industries… All this with great attention to new digital services that simplify the daily work of operators, increasing their performance“.
The collaboration with the ITS Rosario Messina Foundation is the completion of a path that sees Scm a protagonist also in training, since its origins, in 1952. The company was actually born of workers and technicians of Aureli and Gemmani families, who had the courage and the will to become “entrepreneurs of themselves” and that always wanted to transfer this creed to later generations.
“The one with the ITS Rosario Messina Foundation – continues Bergantini – is the most recent project among the several dozens of initiatives that we have always carried out, in Italy and abroad, to transmit to the world the most advanced expertise in the wood sector. Only in the last few years, Scm has supported, in terms of technologies, machines, software and know-how, the renewal of about fifteen vocational training centers, true cases of excellence in our country, of which four in the last two years. A mission that goes hand in hand with the willingness and ability of Scm to support its market, not only through cutting-edge technologies, but also helping to train highly qualified professionals, in line with the demands of companies of this industry“.
With the new premises, built with eco-sustainability criteria and able to accommodate more than 300 students, this Training Center becomes the most important training institution for the industry in Italy. A hundred teachers, two vocational training courses, one for woodworkers and another specialized in construction. Three courses of Higher Technical Education, in the wood furniture sector with courses in marketing and internationalization, contract management and product and process innovation.
