Mario Baldo, Ceo of Twt, is retiring and handing over the reins to President Filippo Pellitteri. The whole company thanks him for his passion, his competence and his massive commitment shown firstly in Rekord and now in Twt, companies he has helped to reach several important achievements.
“I believe the time has come to retire and to embark on a new phase of my life, in which I can devote myself to new projects and to my hobbies” Mario Baldo emphasises. “I leave behind a fantastic team that will be able to lead Twt to even more notable achievements. The office of Ceo will be held pro tempore by Filippo Pellitteri, an extremely capable manager from both a human and a professional standpoint“.
Born in 1954, Mario Baldo’s Cv spans over 40 years in the field of tools for manufacturing wooden doors and windows. After an initial spell as salesman at Garniga, in 1982 along with Fulvio Galvagni and Renzo Piffer he founded Rekord Brevetti Snc (which became Rekord Srl in 1995), one of the first companies in the world to offer on the international market tools enabling the manufacture of wooden window frames, using a single, shaped, interchangeable insert, thereby increasing productivity and the quality of the finished product, and considerably reducing processing costs.
His was a fundamental role in the creation of Twt in 2016 from the merger between Garniga, Rekord and Zuani. An innovative step for this sector, which led to the creation of the largest Italian company producing tools for wood and wood/aluminium doors and windows, and one of the leading companies in the sector in Europe.
His passion for wood, and in particular for wooden doors and windows, and his determination to grow the whole sector, also led to his involvement in professional organisations, as president of the Toolmakers within Acimall, the Italian woodworking machinery and tools manufacturers’ association.
On taking over the reins, Filippo Pellitteri had this to say about Mario Baldo’s decision: “We thank him sincerely for the important contribution and the great commercial boost he has given the company. Thanks to his experience and forward thinking it has been possible to build a corporate merger of great significance. His competence, professionalism and humanity have been and are for us a very precious resource. A heritage that will not be lost – and one we will certainly capitalise on to develop those activities that are at the heart of our business project, and to make sure that Twt reaches new, great achievements on the domestic and international markets”.
