“Building well, living well“, this is the message that Klimahouse 2020 is carrying on, scheduled in Bolzano from 22nd to 25th January 2020, to emphasize not only the profound influence of living spaces in everyday life, but also the new centrality assumed by man in relation to the living and working environment that surrounds him.
Now in its fifteenth edition, the event promoted by Fiera Bolzano and dedicated to the new frontiers of architecture and sustainable building at an international level, is renewed by focusing on a highly topical concept, a new logo that highlights the excitement of a fair in great evolution and a program of events extended to the whole city. This year visitors will be awaited for a four-day event full of events, over 150, which will have as focus theme the centrality of man in living spaces.
“Aspects like innovation, research and comfort, which have always characterized Klimahouse, now contribute to bringing the individual back to the center of the space, helping him to reconnect with that profound relationship with the surrounding environment that in recent years technology has threatened to obscure, instead that enhance“, explains Claudio Corrarati, vice president of Fiera Bolzano. “Undeniably, this new approach is influenced by the debate on climate change and by the current need of people to reclaim the spaces they live and inhabit every day. Therefore the young and the “Generation Z” will be a fundamental part of this fifteenth edition of Klimahouse “. In fact, the 2020 edition of the fair will offer young people the opportunity to express their ideas on the future of “green building” through “Onda Z“, a two-day hackathon on climate change with the involvement of numerous students and female students (over 60) aged between 14 and 21 from all over Italy. But this is just one of the many innovations at the heart of Klimahouse 2020. Within the 25 thousand square meter exhibition space that will host more than 450 stands and exhibitors in this edition, the Klimahouse Congress 2020 will be held over three days, international conference on sustainable building realized in collaboration with the CasaClima Agency. On stage 20 internationally renowned speakers, including Canadian architect Michael Green, who will address current issues for the sector such as construction 4.0 and the role of robotics.
Space then for ideas and projects for innovative building with the 30 startups and scaleups of the Klimahouse Future Hub during which you can also attend the online presentation of the Klimahouse Trend Report 2019 on the most revolutionary technologies in the “green building” sector.
This year the city of Bolzano takes part in the collateral initiatives of the event with the Klimahouse Tours, a program of guided visits that will bring professionals and end users to discover the most interesting examples of sustainable South Tyrolean architecture.
Leading news of the 2020 edition, the “Klimahouse x Bolzano”, with the involvement of important private and institutional partners, such as the Municipality of Bolzano, the Free University of Bolzano, the CasaClima Agency, Eurac and Confesercenti. The initiative will offer visitors a route through shops, restaurants and bars with km0 products, or short supply chains, and adhering to #NoPlastic (cutlery, bottles, or plastic bags) for the entire city center.
Then, the inevitable focus on sustainable mobility with the usual Klimamobility conference, an event that aims to stimulate an open dialogue on urban design and a constructive exchange of ideas between the main players in the sector.
