MMFA, the Multilayer Modular Flooring Association, is pleased to announce that Flooring Industries Ltd. joined the association as associate member and Servaco Product Testing – Joint Venture with VITO, as supporting member.
The President of MMFA, Matthias Windmöller (Windmöller), welcomed both organisations to the association and stated that “with Flooring Industries Ltd. and Servaco Product Testing – Joint Venture with VITO joining our portfolio of associate and supporting members, we are gaining two highly skilled organisations which will strengthen our expertise in the area of product testing and IP assets management for flooring technologies.”

Flooring Industries Ltd., also doing business as Unilin, division Technologies, manages and commercialises the innovation and IP assets of the Unilin and Mohawk Group and administers to date more than 2000 patents in over 300 patent families. The company obtained world-wide recognition by introducing and licensing out the Uniclic locking technology to the flooring industry and it has throughout the years continued to introduce innovative locking systems such as Unidrop and Unizip. In the last 10 years, it also heavily focused on new plastic-based cores and on digital printing and structuring of flooring panels.
Servaco Product Testing – Joint Venture with VITO – was launched in March 2019 and is based in Belgium. The company provides laboratory and consulting services in the niche market of product emission testing and volatile organic compounds reduction performance testing. The product emission tests analyse the impact of all kinds of building and consumer products and materials on indoor air quality.
With the addition of the Flooring Industries Ltd. and Servaco Product Testing – Joint Venture with VITO, the MMFA now has 25 ordinary members (producers of MMF flooring or their European representations), 28 associate members (supplier companies) and three supporting members (scientific institutes).
About MMFA: The Multilayer Modular Flooring Association is an organisation representing the leading producers of flooring in Europe and their suppliers. The association was established in October 2012 in Munich, Germany, by seven European flooring producers. The management of MMFA has moved to Brussels since November 2019.
