Homag acquired the remaining 24 percent of Weinmann‘s shares, taking over one hundred percent of the latter’s shares.
Weinmann, founded in 1985 and part of the Homag Group since 1998, is a leader in the sector of wood construction machinery and systems and has sold over five thousand machines worldwide, with innovative solutions for carpentry and construction of prefabricated houses.
After 28 years of traveling together, Hansber Ott will give up his role as CEO of Weinmann, maintaining an advisory role. “We have always pursued a specific goal: to maintain a healthy relationship between man and machine. For Weinmann’s future, it is important that this remains the basis of our philosophy”.
Josef Zerle, head of the Group’s Surface Technology Business Unit will enter the management from 1 July, as will Sven Schempp, who also assumes the position of spokesperson for the management. “We will remain faithful to the essence of the brand and continue to focus our attention on mutual trust between us and our customers. Focusing the lights on solid wood will be an advantage for both customers and the company “.
