In the most complicated year for trade fairs, with cancellations and shifts on the agenda and with the main European events that had to raise the white flag due to the pandemic and the limitations deriving from it, Ciff (China International Furniture Fair) is ready to restart and after the two events of 2020 – the first held in July in Guanghzou and the second in September in Shanghai – and is approaching its forty-seventh edition, scheduled for March 2021 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, on a total exhibition area of approximately 750 thousand square meters. As a tradition, the fair will be divided into two phases and the organizers’ expectations are high: about 4 thousand companies and over 300 thousand visitors are expected.
During the first phase, which will take place from 18 to 21 March, in the home furniture sector, the latest innovations in home furnishings will be staged, from international design trends to modern and contemporary style furniture, from upholstered furniture to different solutions for the sleeping area and living area. Homedecor and home textile will focus on new trends in interior decoration with furnishing completions, lighting, paintings, decorative elements and artificial flowers, while the outdoor will focus on the presentation of outdoor furniture such as tables and chairs for the garden, leisure equipment and decorations.
During the second phase, which will be held between 28 and 31 March, the segment of the fair dedicated to the office will be the protagonist, with systems and seating for the workplace, trends and solutions for the office, for public spaces , school and commercial, furniture for medical assistance and for the needs of the elderly.
In addition to the exhibition, around twenty thematic events are also planned, including design exhibitions, seminars and conferences, including the second edition of “Design Spring”, “2030+ International Future Office Exhibition”, “Guangzhou’s Day & Night” and “My dad is a designer”, which will enrich the fair with cultural contents, insights and moments of comparison from which to draw ideas for future reflections.
Not only Ciff in Chinese March, between 28 and 31 March is also scheduled Cifm/Interzum Guangzhou, the trade fair for the furniture industry, woodworking machinery and interior decoration, which will host the main Chinese and international brands, which will offer the latest technologies, machinery, materials, surfaces and components essential for the furniture industry and where around 800 exhibitors from 16 countries and almost 100,000 visitors are expected.
If Europe is still waiting for a restart and the beginning of 2021 will be stingy with satisfaction, with the major events that have chosen to move to the end of the year or to postpone everything to 2022, in Guangzhou we will move forward.
