Siempelkamp-Zao Murom: new plant accepted

Siempelkamp and Zao Murom, the Russian manufacturer of wood-based materials, have formalized the acceptance of the Osb plant in the Vladimir region of Russia. A goal that satisfied both companies and was reached, as pointed out by Siempelkamp, in a short time considering the well-known difficulties dictated by this complicated historical period (and due to the adverse climatic conditions, between abundant snowfalls and temperatures that reached thirty degrees below zero). The first advice for the realization, in fact, was carried out on November 26, 2020.

The plant has a “ContiRoll® Generation 9” in the format 2.6 meters by 30.4 meters. A plant in which various companies of the Siempelkamp group worked: Pallmann and Cmc contributed to the preparation of raw materials, as well as to the screening, gluing and mold technology. The power plant and drum dryer were supplied by Büttner and Sicoplan was responsible for the engineering. The innovative Osb line created by Siempelkamp – with an annual capacity of over 280 thousand cubic meters – allows Murom to use different assortments of raw materials, including waste from plywood production, one of the Russian company’s starting objectives. The plant now also produces very thin Osb with a 6 millimeters panel thickness.
