The second appointment “Techbinar” – held last September 28 –, the “phygital” events organized by Acimall, the Italian woodworking technology association, and Catas, the most important European laboratory of tests and certifications of the sector, which analyze the entire long path of woodworking and, for this second appointment, with a focus on sanding.
Over 170 participants, in fact, were able to attend the reports of the experts in the sector. After the usual opening of the director of Acimall, Dario Corbetta, the director of Catas, Franco Bulian, started the technical part beginning from the basics of sanding. Remo Costa, the owner of Costa Levigatrici, a historical figure for the sector, spoke about the culture of sanding, analyzing the very concept of sanding and analyzing the changes and evolutions of recent years.
From “general” to “particular”. After the first two interventions that outlined the boundaries of the topic, Nicola Fantozzi, Makor–Tecnolegno area manager, focused on the smoothing of the profile, Ivan Squadrani, Scm sales manager, eviscerated the topic of panel smoothing and Alberto Fiorani of Biesse Group focused on “three-dimensional” sanding and its developments.
Almost two hours of event that had a great participation, in terms of public and interventions, which showed how, even in this “difficult” year, the desire to talk about technique and to deepen the sector was not put into a angle.
