Fifty million dollars of investment for a new production line and a new recycling center. Egger, the Austrian giant, has announced major new investments in the United States to implement production at the Lexington plant, which opened in September 2020. An investment plan that will lead to a 50 percent increase in production capacity at the Lexington site. Of the fifty million, thirty million dollars will be invested for the recycling center, twenty million, however, for the third production line which should be operational by the end of 2022.
“This facility was created with the intention of adding a third and fourth lamination line as market demand increased”, said Carsten Ritterbach, plant manager for commercial services. “In light of the supply chain disruptions experienced around the world this year, increasing production capacity is one of the best ways we can serve our customers in the United States and Canada”.
