Lysander, a UK-headquartered construction consultancy, has announced its launch in Italy with the opening of its first office in Milan. The launch is part of a wider European expansion strategy which sees offices also open in Germany, Spain, France and the Netherlands as the company seeks to satisfy continued demand across the industrial, logistics and commercial sectors. It coincides with the firm celebrating its 21st year in business.
Initially launched in the UK in 2001, Lysander has worked with clients on projects in the UK and Ireland, as well as across EMEA. The wider European expansion to include locally based teams was a natural next step as Chairman James Duckworth explains: “Since launching, Lysander has grown an enviable portfolio of clients all across Europe with whom relationships have strengthened and it made sense to invest in the long-term potential of our existing and future relationships. In Italy, we have appointed Stuart Ray, an experienced project manager with over 26 years of M&E experience, to lead and grow the team”.
Lysander’s Italian team, which stands five strong, recently completed a project to expand the storage capacity of an existing building for Iron Mountain, a longstanding client of Lysander, and has been appointed by Scannell International to provide specialist project management support for a new 250,000 sqm fulfilment centre in Ancona.
