Trade fairs are once again taking place successfully at many trade fair venues around the world. Processes are almost functioning as they did before the pandemic, and exhibitor and visitor numbers are on the rise. Even Germany, traditionally a strong trade fair country, has long been active again and is ready for more trade fairs where exhibitors and visitors from Germany and the world are welcome. The German government is confirming this these days with the announcement of new facilitations. For exhibitors and visitors, this means the necessary planning ability they need to prepare adequately for trade fairs. “The twin pack of ISM and ProSweets Cologne last month illustrated once again that trade fairs can be safely held even in times of pandemic and that their respective sectors provide the much-needed stage for building and expanding international business. The two trade fairs also sent an important signal of new beginnings, confidence and optimism to the entire trade fair industry,” says Gerald Böse, Chief Executive Officer of Koelnmesse GmbH.
On the way to the “New Normal”, there is hardly any other communication platform that is more efficient and better suited to generating business again, providing inspiration and setting impulses than a trade fair like ZOW – Subcontracting Fair for the Furniture Industry and Interior Design – in Bad Salzuflen. In order to make the business event from 3 to 5 May even more attractive for visitors, Zow will not occupy Hall 20 as usual this year, but will move to Hall 21. “We are doing this to make the entire show more compact so that the trade show experience is better for visitors and exhibitors“, says Maik Fischer Director of Zow.
For over 25 years, Zow exhibitors have been providing important impetus to the kitchen, upholstery and home furnishings industries with their new products in one of the world’s largest clusters of the furniture industry. But the automotive industry, caravan, ship and wagon construction, and shopfitting and interior design also benefit directly. Exhibitors and visitors alike are aware of the advantages of Zow’s condensed workshop atmosphere for inspiration and networking, live product development on site and lively ordering activity. Another important benefit of the Zow industry platform is that it can be an important point for finding solutions to the pandemic-related procurement and logistics problems in the furniture industry. Zow therefore offers itself as a platform for companies that score points with their innovative approaches and for visitors who are looking for solutions.
The exhibitor registrations to date show that this concept is working: In addition to the well-known exhibitors already mentioned here as examples, such as Häfele, Italiana Ferramenta, Kleiberit, Kröning, Lignadecor, Owi, Salice and Titus, other illustrious names have recently joined the ranks. Now ahead of their competitors with their Zow presence are, among others, the solid wood parts manufacturer Aerzener Bastkunst, the sheathing specialist BHK Holz und Kunststoff, the edgeband supplier Boyut Plastik Profil from Istanbul, the surface specialists Decor Druck Leipzig and Dekora Pur, the Danish accessories supplier HT Bendix, HWB Furniere, the software forge Imos AG, Senosan from Austria as well as Deco-Form with high-quality products made of plastic and, last but not least, the Belgian functional fittings professional Van Hoecke.
By focusing on the workshop character, where the products, ideas, people and communication take centre stage, the third edition of ZOW under Koelnmesse management is sure to become the industry Mecca in the heart of the German furniture region of East Westphalia. It is a must-attend event for every successful industry player.
