Primultini, the well-known Italian company specialized in the first woodworking process, will present at Xylexpo two machinery.
The carriage “Crl” with variable axis, made with two independent overlayed frames. The innovation is that the longitudinal cutting axis, called “Wheel System”, varies according to the taper of the log, but it is determined not by the positioning the log itself, but by rotating the frame. The upper headblock holder frame can rotate right-hand and/or left-hand, thus setting the right cutting alignment on the basis of the taper of the log. Thanks to this, both log and headblocks hooks are not subjected to tension. In addition, the aligning phase is very rapid and it can be performed by the operator both manually and automatically, simply through a photocell reading system. On demand, the reading system may be equipped also with a laser scanner. This enables not only automatic measurements of log diameter and length, but also log alignment in relation to the rotation axis or to the external edge, thus calculating a predetermined board width with the first cut.
The solid log turners, equipped with a double articulation system and two independent hydraulic lifting arms, work with three motor-driven chains with clockwise and anti- clockwise rotation with inclination up to 90 grades, and are suitable for turning square pieces over with no damage to the edges. Hooks extension is is hydraulically operated and set with two programmable intermediate positions. Thanks to the hydraulic system with a variable delivery pump, more simultaneous movements are possible without any speed reduction. The feeding unit is controlled by an electrical vector unit, and the programmable electronic positioner is equipped with a touch screen connected via ethernet to a plc with distributed periphery.
