The years go by, but passion remains the same. The long story of Cursal – the company based in San Fior (Treviso, Italy) specializing in the production of optimizing saws – at Xylexpo dates back to more than two decades ago. A story of long-awaited events, news launched at the exhibition, still continuing today with a new date 45 years after the company’s foundation.
“For our customers and prospects, as well as our sales network, Xylexpo will be an opportunity to show our optimizing solutions with an Industry 4.0 concept, especially in the software area, where the Industry 4.0 paradigm has required to develop new solutions in a short time”, wrote the Venetian company in a pre-exhibition press release. “We will also exhibit our solutions for automated handling, using vacuum cups or grippers, which have become essential especially for our packaging customers, a convenient solution to improve their working cycle while largely reducing cycle time and costs. Smart solutions for company that want to navigate change.”
Cursal’s participation in Xylexpo will also provide an opportunity to review the company’s long history, built on product quality, constant search for innovation and improvement, a close-knit team, and Giuseppe Curtolo, the Ceo and the soul of the company. “Building a cross-cut saw may seems easy – he says – but it’s not. The apparent simplicity of this machine hides complexity. A cut-off saw cannot be a pre-packaged solution, you must go into details and make several tests each time.”
“At Cursal – Samuele Curtolo adds – we customize ad-hoc lines for all requirements. If you consider conveyors alone, we offer four different types of structure, four roller diameters, three distance steps, six widths, two different types of transmission… and much more. Each cut-off saw size, 400, 500, 600, 700 and optimizing saw offers countless accessories with dedicated variants.
Fences, extractors and collection tables: for each size, we offer three to five variants and as many sturdiness levels.”
