“A good return of visitors and an excellent opportunity to showcase the latest technologies“. Homag is satisfied with the results in the aftermath of the 30th edition of Homag Treff, the group’s annual open house, held earlier this month in Holzbronn. An event which, according to the organisers, was attended by around a thousand visitors.
HIGHLIGHTED SOLUTIONS
Among the main solutions on show during the five-day event was the “Drillteq V-310“. the vertical cnc machining centre that enables a wide range of functions in 11 square metres. In addition to optimal furniture machining, the machining centre offers numerous machining options with a choice of up to 45 drilling spindles.
The new “Centateq N-510” cnc gantry machining centre, on the other hand, is also distinguished by its performance. The new nesting concept offers individual automation with five-axis machining for entry-level woodworking shops up to industrial requirements. Panel-shaped materials can be split and processed with optimized scrap levels. Therefore, the new nesting series focused on improving handling and increasing production.
The German giant also presented a production simulation on the “Sawteq B-300 | B-400 flexTec” for the first time. This simulation was based on the companies’ parts lists and current customer production data. The production preview was optimised for automatic cutting or maximum performance.
DIGITAL… IS THE FUTURE
What will the digital woodworking shops of tomorrow look like? Homag presented its visitors with innovative new solutions. In addition to the digital workbook, the ‘productionManager’ and the new “woodCommander 5” operator software with 3D workpiece simulation, the “Nesting Production Set” was also presented. “The applications included in the set allow automatic calculation of nesting patterns and component identification via labels, even if the machine does not have a printer. Another advantage: the Nesting Production Set can be used flexibly in combination with nesting machines of any series,” the group explained in the post-event press release.
With the Homag Treff in Holzbronn behind them, the German group is now ready for future events: in Giussano, at the Homag Italia headquarters, from 10 to 12 November, and in St. Johann-Lonsingen, where the Weinmann Treff will be held on 16 and 17 November 2022.
