Some 62,000 visitors (from around 150 countries) came to interzum, the trade fair for suppliers to the furniture and interior design industry held in Cologne. Numbers that, explains the organisation, exceeded “…all expectations“. Around 1,600 exhibitors were present at the fairgrounds. “The fair could not have shown its importance for the industry any better,” said Oliver Frese, Koelnmesse’s Director of Operations, with satisfaction. For him, the result of the event is a clear sign “…that top-class top events like interzum are more vital than ever”.
The countries with the highest number of visitors were Germany, Italy, Spain and Poland. “The number of Turkish visitors was very encouraging, having increased by 16 per cent compared to the previous edition of the fair. Similarly, the number of trade visitors from India increased“.
