After the excellent results of the 32nd edition held in Schopfloch in March, the Rehau Edgeband Symposium 2023 was ‘exported’ across the border for the first time, with the first edition held in Pesaro, Italy, at Biesse Group, the well-known Italian group specialized in woodworking solutions, with a good response from the public. In fact, around 80 people from the furniture industry were present in Pesaro on 15 June.
As with its German ‘version’, the main focus of the Italian edition of the Edgeband Symposium was ‘The Perfect Component’, a topic of great importance for the entire sector. The programme also touched on the theme of efficiency: among the various innovations, Biesse presented the ‘HFS Hydrogen Force System‘, the new technology for seamless edge processing, in which the functional laser layer of the edge is activated through a hydrogen flame. “This technique offers numerous advantages, most notably optimising processing and maintenance times and saving up to 70 per cent energy compared to other processes,” it was explained in the press release issued after the event. “And in combination with the innovative ‘Raukantex pigment‘ edge, both visual and tactile perfection also extends to the milling radius.”
