With about two hundred confirmed registrations for a total area of twenty thousand square metres of exhibition space, the Xylexpo 2024 project is beginning to take shape. Halls 1 and 3 of Fieramilano Rho will once again be the showcase of today’s and tomorrow’s technologies, offering thousands of Italian and international visitors the chance to update, compare solutions and plan their investments.
The membership campaign will continue in the coming months to enable the event to grow further and provide a sure response to every production need of the varied world of woodworking.
“Preparations for the next edition – scheduled to take place at FieraMilano-Rho from 21 to 24 May 2024 – are proceeding in a season of particular ferment for a sector that, after an extremely “happy” period from the point of view of orders and turnover, seems to be showing signs of concern, perhaps excessive, about the short and medium-term prospects“, commented Dario Corbetta, director of the event.
A confirmation comes from the Italian data for the January-July period – the most up-to-date ones released by Istat, the national institute of statistics, and processed by Acimall – which reveal exports exceeding one billion euros, 9 per cent more than the already more than positive 2022. The United States, Germany and France continue to show a “sustained” demand, a global trend that is still substantially positive, also confirmed by the growth of Italian imports (plus 3.6 per cent, for a total value of 156 million euros).
“We are certain that Xylexpo, although in the midst of a transition phase, will once again be an unmissable opportunity for all those companies that want to maintain a high profile on the national and international market“, Corbetta concluded.
