Abet Laminati selected for Adi Design Index 2024

In the evocative setting of the Adi Design Museum in Milan, the Adi Design Index 2024 was presented. The products included in the Adi Design Index, selected and collected with the opportunity to participate in the next Adi Compasso d’Oro 2026, were identified by more than one hundred experts from the Adi Permanent Design Observatory.

For the 2024 edition – in the name of quality and sustainability – Abet Laminati has been selected with the “Mare Nostrum” collection designed by Matteo Ragni: six digital decorative laminates (Fetch, Islands, Octopus, Net, Papersail, Shark), each of them  declined in four shades  that recall the natural tones of the sea and the earth.

The “Mare nostrum” panels are characterized by the core made of Re-Abet, laminate manufactured from 100 percent certified recycled kraft paper, as well as the use of water-based inks for the digitally printed patterns.

“Mare Nostrum is a collection of decors that celebrates the sea, a symbol of vitality and biodiversity. It is an element that touches the coasts of every continent, uniting and connecting then. The se, our sea,for all is home to thousands of marine species in an eco-system under threat from human activity”, explained Matteo Ragni.

Abet Laminati boasts two Compasso D’Oro awards in its history: the first in 1987 for the Diafos product, the ideal solution for those who want to experiment with material and light, and the second in 2001, the Compasso d’Oro alla Carriera.
