Orgatec will debut in India with Orgatec India in 2025, Nov. 4-6 in Mumbai. “This is an ideal time to bring our flagship Orgatec event from Cologne to India,” remarked Gerald Böse, ceo of Koelnmesse. “We are experiencing a phase in which the country’s office infrastructure is undergoing dynamic change. We are therefore pleased to expand our portfolio in India with this premiere and at the same time create an environment that combines visionary ideas and innovative solutions and will play a decisive role in shaping the Indian workplaces of tomorrow”.
Koelnmesse already has a presence in Japan with another satellite event, Orgatec Tokyo. The previous edition, held in May 2024, had more than 40,000 visitors and more than 160 brands. This inaugural event will be the first of its kind in India and will feature a comprehensive showcase of the latest trends in office furniture, smart facilities technology, workplace automation, and coworking spaces.
With India’s office sector on track for significant growth of 20-22 percent annually, the event comes at a crucial time to address the industry’s evolving needs and challenges. Leading Indian and global brands will converge to showcase cutting-edge solutions, including building management systems (BMS), building automation systems (BAS), Internet of Things (IoT) devices, innovative office furniture, virtual offices, and employee wellness services.
“As India,” reads the press release issued by Koelnmesse, ” experiences the rise of coworking spaces, which are expected to grow from $1.94 billion to $2.72 billion by 2029, and the growing demand for smart office solutions, Orgatec India will offer companies a holistic platform to explore these evolving opportunities. The country’s transition to smart and automated workplaces is accelerating, with the market for intelligent building management systems expected to grow from $5.57 billion to $148.6 billion by 2027.”
