Three weeks to after the conclusion of the 2024 edition, reconfirmations and new requests from exhibitors who do not want to miss the opportunity to be present at the next event as well, scheduled for October 14th – 17th, 2025, are already numerous.
This is a sign of the centrality of SICAM, this year in its 15th edition, in the international trade fair calendar and further confirmation of the quality that distinguished the recently concluded edition. There were 692 exhibitors from 34 countries at the fair, covering an area of more than 41 thousand square meters, including 19,135 net exhibition square meters; 9,243 visiting companies from 118 countries came to Pordenone to meet them.
Interestingly, there were nearly 30,000 people at the fair during the four-day event, including 23,542 visitors and 5,368 on the exhibitor side. Attached please find the complete statistics of SICAM 2024.
VISITORS
Taking a closer look at the visitor data reveals interesting assessments. Let’s start with provenances: 62 percent of visitors came from Italy, 38 percent from abroad. Among the latter, Europe tops the list, with 69 percent of foreign visitors, followed by Asia (20 percent) Americas (6 percent), Africa (4 percent) and Oceania (1 percent).
If we look at the nations of origin behind Italy, the “host” country, are Germany, China, Spain, Poland, Croatia, Slovenia, France, Romania, Greece, Serbia and United Kingdom in that order.
Equally interesting is the information gathered on the “quality” of visitors: in the ranking by “qualification” the first position is held by “owners/ceo”, followed in the very first positions by technical employees, commercial employees, sales managers and general managers. These data confirm SICAM as an event where decisions for the development of business strategies are made.
The ranking by product sector sees the world of “furniture” in first place, followed by “components,” “kitchens,” “contract” and “bathroom.
Italian and international industry tops the segmentation of visitors by type of business, followed by trade, another very international category, artisanal manufacturers, a point of excellence in Italian production, services, representative activities and publishing.
Finally, arrivals from Italy: the largest number of visitors came from Veneto, followed by Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Marche and Emilia Romagna, regions in which the furniture and furnishings industry boasts a very strong vocation.
The time spent visiting was important: as much as SICAM reaffirms one of its main strengths -namely, being a “compact,” easy-to-visit, extremely concrete and “product-focused” fair – the average time spent at the fair was 1.33 days (1.19 days Italians; 1.63 foreigners), because there really is a lot to see at SICAM….
Once again, then, the international furniture and furnishings sector confirms its trust in the event organized by Exposicam: a fair that is liked not only because of the quality of the exhibitors and visitors, the ease with which one can meet or touch tens of thousands of novelties, ideas and products, but also because of the overall quality of the event, the absolutely relaxed atmosphere that allows everyone to focus on their business in a pleasant way.
A positive and purposeful environment, made even more hospitable and suited to the needs of exhibitors thanks to a completely renovated stand setup and the new height of the stands, raised to 2.5 meters, which has undoubtedly fostered the overall comfort of the event, while keeping intact the showroom atmosphere that exhibitors and visitors so much enjoy, because year after year it proves to be the best setting where to always put the products on display in the foreground.
