On April 14 and 15, 2025, the 26th International Wood Machining Seminar (IWMS 26) will take place at the University of Florence. Organized by the Department of Agriculture, Food, Environment, and Forestry (DAGRI), the event will bring together experts, researchers, and industry representatives from around the globe.
The conference is sponsored by Acimall, the Italian association of woodworking technology manufacturers, and Catas, the leading European laboratory for testing and certification in the sector. The event is also supported by major industry sponsors, including Wde Maspell, Incomac, and Imal Pal, highlighting the strong synergy between academia and the business world.
During the seminar, 47 works will be presented, divided into 36 oral presentations lasting 15 minutes each and 11 poster presentations designed as quick 3-minute sessions to showcase recent discoveries and innovative applications. The conference will serve as a unique opportunity to explore technological advancements, sustainable solutions, and emerging trends in woodworking.
At the end of the two-day event, participants will have the chance to join an exclusive tour of the headquarters of two key companies in the sector: Cefla, in Imola, renowned for its cutting-edge wood finishing technologies, and SCM, in Rimini, a leading player in the production of machinery for woodworking, plastics, and other materials.
