Frederik Meyer is the new president of Eumabois, the European Federation of associations of woodworking machinery manufacturers. Married, with two children, Meyer got a degree in Wood Technology Engineering at Rosenheim University, and 27 years ago, he joined the woodworking technology business starting his work as a Carpenter in Eastern Westfalia, in Germany. Over the past eighteen years, he has been working at Homag Group, currently holding the role of Executive Vice President of the “CNC Processing” business unit.
After serving as Eumabois Vice President since September 2022, as of last January 16 Meyer took over from Luigi De Vito, who left the position to face new professional challenges.
The role of Vice President of the federation was assigned to Enrico Aureli, president of the Italian association Acimall and vice president of Scm Group.
“Being the president of an organization like Eumabois is a great honor, but also a challenge that I will do everything possible to win, after the great job done by Luigi De Vito – whom I thank on behalf of the entire industry – and the countless challenges we will have to face in a period of big changes”, Meyer commented after his nomination. “Today more than ever, the European industry must carefully look at the global scenario, supporting and spreading the contents of innovation, safety and performance of technologies that, all around the world, are an essential point of reference”.
