Eplf, the European Laminate Flooring Manufacturers Association, announces a change at the top with the election of Ruben Desmet (Unilin) as its new president and the addition of Fabian Kölliker (Swiss Krono Group) to the board. The transition follows the end of Max von Tippelskirch‘s (Swiss Krono Group) term as president of the association.
Ruben Desmet, who has served as chairman of the Markets and Image Committee and vice chairman of Eplf since 2019, expressed his enthusiasm for the new position: “I am honored by the trust placed in me by the members of the association. Our industry is going through a phase of transformation, and I intend to continue the work of the outgoing president with a renewed commitment to sustainability and improving the reputation of the laminate industry. The goal is to strengthen the role of our industry within the European Renovation Wave initiative and the Affordable Housing Strategy.”
Fabian Kölliker also expressed satisfaction with his appointment to the Board of Directors: “This is an exciting time for our industry. Throughout my career I have always worked between tradition and innovation, and I will bring this experience to the association. My goal is to contribute to digital transformation and data-driven marketing to support Eplf members and the entire laminate industry.”
Election of the board of directors takes place every two years by the Eplf General Assembly, the association’s main decision-making body, which brings together all regular members. Committee chairs, on the other hand, are appointed by their respective reference committees.
