Siempelkamp joins Maschinenraum ecosystem

In January 2025, the Siempelkamp Group became the first company of the year to join the Maschinenraum ecosystem, an innovative network of family-owned businesses, universities, and other partners focused on transforming small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany. As a leading technology supplier in machine and plant engineering, Siempelkamp aims to leverage the exchange within the network to address key transformation challenges facing the industry.

The company is currently focusing on megatrends such as sustainability, digitalization, and change management, while also striving to become an attractive employer to counter the shortage of skilled workers.

is an ecosystem designed to support the transformation of SMEs, fostering the exchange of experiences among family businesses and other innovative actors. Siempelkamp hopes to benefit from the experiences of other family-owned companies in the network, while also contributing its own insights on topics such as sustainable business models and transformation.

Martin Scherrer, ceo of Siempelkamp, expressed the company’s excitement about joining the ecosystem: “We are currently shaping our transformation across many areas of the group. To meet our high standards, we want to think outside the box and learn from best practice examples. We also want to share our experiences. Maschinenraum offers the ideal platform for this exchange“.

Tobias Rappers, Managing Director of Maschinenraum, welcomed Siempelkamp’s membership, recognizing the company’s broad industry expertise and decades of experience. “Siempelkamp is exemplary for the challenges many medium-sized companies are facing today: balancing the development of established business areas with the design of future-oriented, sustainable solutions. I am confident that the exchange within Maschinenraum will provide new momentum, not only for Siempelkamp but for all members of our network”.
