Sustainable tambour doors: the new “Rauvolet eco” system by Rehau Interior Solutions

Following the success of “Raukantex eco”, Rehau is extending its sustainable approach to the “Rauvolet” tambour door system. The leading supplier of components for the furniture industry continues its commitment to a genuine circular economy with the introduction of “Rauvolet eco“, a new generation of tambour doors with a reduced environmental impact, designed to combine design, functionality, and sustainability, while offering the same look & feel as the traditional systems in the product line.

The new “Rauvolet eco” variant is designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality sustainable components from manufacturers, carpenters, architects, and interior designers. It is made 100% from recycled polypropylene (PP), sourced from post-industrial waste supplied by certified providers. This approach ensures that polypropylene products, at the end of their useful life, are reintroduced into the cycle, reaffirming Rehau’s contribution to a genuine and sustainable circular economy.

“Following the success of our eco-friendly edgebanding solutions, the new ‘Rauvolet eco’ tambour doors represent another step forward in the global sustainability strategy of Rehau Interior Solutions. Customizable in finish to meet the specific needs of manufacturers, this latest innovation from Rehau is currently awaiting major certifications, including the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which confirm its qualification as a component for sustainable furniture production,” the company explained during the launch.
