News of this year is definitely in the duration of the event, which runs from one to two days to respond to the many requests to investigate a greater number of issues. Because the wooden houses are certainly a topic that receives a growing attention in a land, Bergamo region, notoriously devoted to building. In addition to the Congress will be held an’ exhibition area with the presence – among others – of the most important German manufacturers of wooden houses which have worked for years in the Italian market and represent excellence in the sector: Haus Idea, Huf Haus, Rensch Haus and Schwörer Haus.
The two days made it possible to develop a much richer calendar, divided into four distinct phases.
The morning of Thursday, March 24 is dedicated to the opening session of the congress. After the welcome ceremony the word to two great interpreters of the applications of wood in construction − an engineer-researcher of great renown and a designer-architect famous for his works in wood − a sort of “confrontation” on the performance characteristics and aesthetic and architectural values of a house, a wooden building.
The afternoon session − thanks to the presence of opinion leaders, architects, contractors, engineers, university professors, engineers and well-known producers − will also focus on the consumer, what is essential to pass to the “final decision maker” for fully understanding the advantages of building wood.
Among the many interventions that will animate the two days are the expected contributions of Ario Ceccotti, director of Ivalsa-Cnr (Trento); Luca Colombo, head of architecture of Studio Matteo Thun (Milano); Paolo Riva, professor of Structural Engineering and Dean of Faculty of Engineering, University of Bergamo; M. H. Kessel, professor at the Technische Universitaet Braunschweig (Germany); Marco Marengo, associate professor of industrial engineering physics at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bergamo; Thomas Rubella, Koelnmesse Ceo; Paolo Belloni, President of Chamber of Architects of the Province of Bergamo; Mark Manoli, Ceo of Haas Italy; Sergio Tumelero, responsible Huf Haus Italy; Wolfgang Staschitz, responsible Idea Haus Italy; Stuflesser Guido, sales manager Rensch Haus Italy; Alexandra Witsinski, head of Northern Italy Schwoerer Haus. The congress is organized in cooperation with Koelnmesse and the patronage of Bdf, German association of manufacturers of wooden houses, as well as all the major professional associations in the province of Bergamo.
