Ernestomeda-Samsung partnership

Ernestomeda, a leading high-end market of designer kitchens, participates as a “special guest” for Samsung at 2011 edition of Ifa, the most important exhibition of electronics in the world, 2 to 7 September 2011 in Berlin.
The protagonist of the partnership is “Z. Island“, special kitchen designed by architect Zaha Hadid for Ernestomeda, complete with digital equipment made by Samsung Electronics which presents strong differences of design through the application of technology Umi.
“Z. Island”, the kitchen produced on demand, demonstrates the continued interest of Ernestomeda for innovation, from the processing of sophisticated materials, structural organization, integrating the most advanced technologies. It’s made of Corian®, an extremely malleable material and perfect for the creative needs of an architect known for the complexity of her projects. The structure is divided into two functional blocks, compact and agile. The island dedicated to the fire, with stove, is elongated and curves on the right side, the island dedicated to water, sink, drying area and dishwasher integrated, fully recessed, is hexagonal and compact.
Samsung Electronics digital applications transform ordinary functions making them exceptional thanks to Umi, a Uv Micro Imprinting technology perfect for a fully fitted kitchen. Model Umi for the kitchen was designed by Zaha Hadid.
The cooking island host a Lcd screen Samsung Transparent and a Pc.
