On November 29th, Enrico Pazzali, president of Fondazione Fiera Milano, and Emanuele Orsini, president of Federlegno Arredo Eventi, signed the preliminary contract for the Scarampo Area, 6 thousand square meters on which the new headquarters of the federation of the wood-furniture and the Salone del Mobile offices.
In addition to the intervention for the new headquarters of the Federlegno Arredo Eventi group, Fondazione Fiera will also have a hotel building set up to support the exhibition and conference-convention activities organized by Fiera Milano Congressi. Both buildings will be designed by the architect Michele De Lucchi with an iconic and coordinated architecture, in an emblematic area of the city and its trade fair history, right in front of pavilions 3 and 4 of FieraMilanoCity, today one of the most prestigious districts of the “new Milan”. A union between history and the future that sees the Lombard capital able to reinvent itself without ever losing its roots.
The land is one of the areas of the Urban Center of Fieramilanocity involved in the 2014 Integration Act to the Fair Program Agreement. The signing of the final contract is subject to the approval by the Municipality of Milan.
