With three curated digital stages and the materials.cologne conference, Koelnmesse will focus on the most important developments for furniture and interior design from 4-7 May 2021.
With the event in May 2021, interzum will become a fully digital trade fair for the first time. The new digital platform of interzum, interzum @home, will provide all participants with additional international reach combined with a digital trade fair experience. This means that even more international decision-makers, opinion leaders and multipliers can be reached worldwide – this year digitally. The online trade fair matrix will once again be enriched by exciting special events in addition to three attractive digital stages on the topics of Green Smart Materials, Mattress Recycling and the Trend Stage, the materials conference materials.cologne, the exhibitor stages of the “Product Stages” and the interzum award, which is presented regularly, will also attract attention.
The digital stages for exhibitors, the “Product Stages”, will focus entirely on the presentation of innovations and the sharing of insights between exhibitors and trade visitors. Here, the suppliers themselves decide which topics they want to communicate to the target industries: new products, best practice, F/E or other important topics from the company’s point of view. The number of participants is unlimited and due to the on-demand availability of the Stage presentation, the contributions can still be viewed for a longer time by the interested audience. The sessions offer 20 minutes of content streaming with accompanying session-based chats. Afterwards, they will be available via video-on-demand. As part of the official event programme at interzum@home, this presentation stage enjoys very special attention.
The platform and conference for design and innovation “materials.cologne ” focuses on materials and sustainability. In cooperation with interzum@home, initiator Martin Beeh wants to address designers, architects, interior designers and decision-makers from innovative companies in particular with specialist lectures by international experts on material topics and in several “master classes”. “On the occasion of the premiere of the supplier fair interzum as a purely digital trade fair format, we will communicate a short summary of the lectures and master class results daily on the net at materials.cologne.TV“, says materials expert and designer Beeh about a new, additional feature of the conference.
The interzum award, which has been highly esteemed for many years, is now also experiencing its virtual premiere this year: the supplier products submitted for the furniture industry and interior design are digital, the jury meeting is digital and the prizes are also awarded digitally – following the opening of the fair on the “interzum Trend Stage” channel.
The “interzum award: intelligent material & design” underlines the importance of design as a value-added factor and is reserved exclusively for participants of interzum@home. For many years now, it has been used by the award winners as a powerful message to set themselves apart from the competition in a positive and valuable way, not only in marketing and sales. And so this award ceremony, just like the other accompanying events, supports the core objective of this leading trade fair: to successfully present innovative ideas to the trade public, to bring the entire industry together every two years and to initiate sustainable, first-class business relationships!
