Xylexpo preview, Fapil: technology and passion at Xylexpo 2022

Fapil, the Zogno (Bergamo)-based company specializing in the production of tools, will exhibit at Xylexpo 2022 in booth A28 in Hall 24. During this edition, the company will offer technological tools for the design and construction of solutions for the woodworking, plastic and composite materials industry and will have a watchword: evolution. A key word for a return to trade fairs after a two-year period in which the Bergamo-based company chose not to participate in other events.
After two years of absence from fairs, this is the spirit with which we are preparing to participate in Xylepo 2022,” the company commented in its pre-event press release. “The future of Fapil remains under the banner of innovation, and in this edition we have decided to present some new solutions, while never forgetting the traditional woodworking, products and values handed down for more than 60 years by our company.”

Fapil was born thanks to an intuition of Francesco Pesenti who founded the company (Fabbrica Attrezzature Per l’Industria del Legno) in 1959, driven by a strong passion for mechanics. The constant search for quality and the application of cutting-edge technologies have led, over time, the Bergamo-based company to create a wide range of tools and accessories suitable for the most varied types of machining, leading the brand to be present with a widespread distribution network in the main countries of the world.

Technology and mechanics are the great protagonists of our company. Technological evolution has taught us to know how to adapt to new forms of design and production, but also to new business models-an extraordinary way of evolving.”
Evolution and innovation that remain the “trend topics” for the Bergamo-based company, which in 2022 continued to invest in new machinery, product control equipment, and systems for advanced production and product management. Technological innovation, with machinery taking advantage of state-of-the-art automation processes.

Not only that. For the most innovative manufacturing processes of laminated beams and components for housing structures, Fapil counts on experience gained since the early 1990s with the supply of tools for curved and linear beam machining lines with lengths up to 36 meters and also develops customized tooling solutions for better performance. Beam roughing and major machining are carried out with helical heads with staggered knives with cutting edges on the bottom, large tools with diameters up to 300 millimeters, tools made of light alloy so as not to compromise spindle motor mobility.
Cutters with interchangeable knives are built for machining beams, the bits are made of materials and technology suitable for deep drilling in wood.
