Exactly 30 days from the opening of the gates, the countdown is on for the 2022 edition of Xylexpo, the biennial international exhibition of technologies for the furniture and woodworking industries that will be held at FieraMilano-Rho from 12 to 15 October next, in conjunction with 33.BI-MU and Viscom Italia.
The sale of spaces closed days ago: “This year we preferred to avoid any dispersion, doing everything possible to concentrate the presence of exhibitors in two pavilions, thus avoiding “appendices” that would have had less appeal for visitors,” explained Dario Corbetta, director of the event. “We evaluated early on that it would be a different Xylexpo than in the past, for the reasons we know, and we made choices that rewarded the quality of the exhibition and not the sale of space, so much so that to date we have about twenty companies on the waiting list that – having decided too late to participate – will not be able to be with us in October“.
Halls 22 and 24, a total of 36 thousand square metres fully occupied, will host 280 Italian and foreign exhibitors, protagonists of a complete offer, embracing all the most advanced technologies, from first transformation to surface finishing. “We know that, as with all other trade fairs this season, it will be necessary to deal with different numbers and new needs, starting with our interpretation of a digital fair. “Xylexpo Digital” is a concrete proposal that can be easily used even after the event: we will have, in fact, a real TV channel – added Corbetta – “that during the first three days of the fair, from Wednesday 12 to Friday 14, will allow you to watch remotely the events that will animate our Xylexpo Arena and the stands of the exhibitors who wanted to take part in this project. Thanks to our crews, which will move non-stop among the stands, we will also offer live streaming of real ‘guided tours’ that will convey encounters, opinions, products, sensations“.
It is in any case clear that, after the closures of recent years, the favour of visitors is for a decisive return to “physical presence”: the first data collected through the pre-registration service – which can be easily accessed from the home page of the exhibition site and which will allow visitors to enter the fair without wasting time – show how much the Milanese event is awaited by a quality audience, aware that Xylexpo will once again be the showcase of the best technologies for processing wood and its derivatives.
