Fapil: a small step towards sustainability.

Fapil, a company with more than 60 years of activity, at the technological top in the design and manufacture of tools and solutions for the woodworking, plastics, and composite materials industry, has always been attentive to the issue of sustainability and environmental protection.

Being a sustainable company is important, both as an ethical, social, and environmental issue. In the context of a sustainable development, the company has chosen to invest in energy efficiency through the construction of a photovoltaic system at its production plant in Zogno in the province of Bergamo. The goal of investing in photovoltaics is to make the building capable of producing energy to be used at its production site.
In a world increasingly attentive to these important issues that focus on energy saving, and on the  use of renewable energy, Fapil also wanted to make its contribution“.

In September 2022, a photovoltaic system was installed on the roof of its building, which by April 2023 will be put into operation and will have a power capacity of 45.75 kWp. The system can count on a perfect integration with the structural elements of the roof; a peculiarity of the system is that it was built to facilitate maintenance operations: comfortable walkways allow access in total safety conditions, and facilitate the cleaning and verification of the electrical equipment.

A PV system consists of an arrangement of several components to absorb and convert sunlight into electricity. Thanks to this type of power generation, the CO2 emissions emitted into the environment are significantly lower than average and, above all, the production of waste substances is prevented.
