Greenpanel Industries, one of India’s leading mdf producers, has placed an order with Dieffenbacher, the well-known German manufacturer, for a “Maier” chipping line for an mdf plant to be installed in Routhusuramala, Andhra Pradesh, India. The plant is the third made by Dieffenbacher for Greenpanel and will be commissioned in the summer of 2024. “This is the second “Maier” chipping line we will deliver to India in the last two years“, explained Alexander Hoffmann, managing director of B. Maier Zerkleinerungstechnik, a subsidiary of the Bielefeld-based German company. “The first plant is currently installed at Merino Industries’ new chipboard production site in Halol, Gujarat.”
THE LINE
The plant is characterised by a “Maier” drum chipper with a rotor diameter of 1,600 millimetres, which the Indian company will use to process eucalyptus into high-quality wood chips for the production of mdf and will be able to process up to sixty tonnes per hour of dried wood.
