SCM: new board of directors and record turnover!

The shareholders’ meeting of the Scm Group met to approve the financial statements for 2022 and to appoint the Board of Directors, the Chairman and the Honorary Chairman.
The new Board of Directors is composed as follows: Andrea Aureli (Chairman), Giovanni Gemmani (Vice Chairman), Enrico Aureli (Vice Chairman), Marco Mancini (Managing Director) and the directors Valentina Aureli, Luca Franceschini and Martino Gemmani.
The shareholders also appointed Alfredo Aureli as Honorary President, who will remain in office for the three-year period 2023-2025.
The shareholders thanked the outgoing Chairman, Giovanni Gemmani, and the outgoing Honorary Chairman, Adriano Aureli, for the human and entrepreneurial skills that have distinguished them over so many years, contributing to the progressive consolidation and growth of the Scm Group.

The approved consolidated balance sheet reflects record turnover volumes of 850 million Euro, with a 14 percent increase compared to 2021 and an export share of over 90 percent. Positive trend also for the order intake, which stood at around EUR 900 million at the end of 2022.
In 2022 we managed to achieve good results despite the strong criticalities related to costs and procurement of raw materials and electronic components,” emphasises Scm Group CEO Marco Mancini. “In 2023 the international macroeconomic context will not be favourable, but I am convinced that the strength of the team, the investments made and the solidity of the group will enable us to gain further market share in the various sectors in which we operate: the wood-furniture and nautical industry, automotive and aerospace in the field of advanced materials processing“.

Regarding the strategic actions taken, Scm Group General Manager Luigi De Vito comments: “Scm Group and its companies have once again demonstrated great strength and resilience in facing economic challenges. The decision to continue to guarantee a substantial investment plan to strengthen after-sales services, the production efficiency of our industrial centres, our direct presence in international markets and research and development activities in the various business sectors was decisive“.

With regard to investments on the production sites in Italy, in Rimini the expansion and redevelopment of the headquarters is about to be completed with the construction – among others – of a new 4,000 square meters Technology Centre: it will be inaugurated from 28 to 30 September with the participation of thousands of customers from the wood-furnishing industry from all over the world. Also in the Rimini area, the new headquarters of the Hiteco subsidiary specialising in electromechanical components is scheduled to open by the end of the year.
