Things always come in three. Siempelkamp and Kastamonu Entegre have announced that the third plant built ‘together’ started working in three shifts at the end of August, thus completing the installation in eight months (it started in January 2023, ed.). An achievement that pleases the members of both teams: “For the third time in a row – they say in the press release issued by the German plant operator – Kastamonu Entegre and Siempelkamp have achieved an excellent result together. At the Balikesir plant, the two companies managed to complete the installation in less than nine months. Here – the press release continues – Kastamonu Entegre operates an mdf plant that includes the longest ‘ContiRoll’ in Turkey, with dimensions of 8′ x 63.7 metres. The speed of the ramp-up curve, which was completed with the final supply inspection in just seven weeks, stood out particularly within the overall timeline“.
Already in 2020/2021, the two partners had realised a similarly successful project at the Samsun site, despite the restrictions caused by the “Covid-19”.
Another key success factor was the high-quality and brilliantly organised supply quota. Kastamonu Entregre ordered a forming and pressing line with ‘ContiRoll’ in 7′ x 37.1 m format for its newest chipboard plant. The specification also included automation, the cooling and stacking line, and the sanding line.
“We managed the installation together in record time, despite the cramped conditions and lack of space. This only works if the customer and supplier are perfectly coordinated,” explains Axel Weiss. Ulrich Kaiser adds: “To realise three projects like this together in such a short time is outstanding. My thanks go to the Kastamonu Entegre team for their trust and great teamwork!“
