Weinig expands product portfolio: agreement with Stähle-Hess

After the technical integration phase, which will begin in the coming weeks, the “Rotofinish,” “Gloria,” and “Saturn” machines will be produced by the Weinig Group starting in 2025.

New agreements for Weinig, the German group specializing in woodworking solutions and technologies. The German group, in fact, recently announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire part of the services (design drawings and technical know-how for the construction of grinding machines, as well as marketing rights) and the “Rotofinish,” “Gloria” and “Saturn” machines from Stähle-Hess, a German manufacturer of edge, window, batten and parquet sanding machines.

Stähle-Hess CEO Werner Müller outlined the contours of the contract with Weinig: “We have had a good relationship for more than 20 years. There has been a regular exchange of employees and mutual support in market development. I myself have often been to Tauberbischofsheim to meet with their experts for further development of planers and grinding machines. In this sense, the agreement we have reached is sensible, consistent and represents the best solution as far as the customer is concerned as well“.

An important agreement, which for Weinig means being able to expand its product portfolio and offer “…customers who manufacture wooden windows a complete machining solution for perfect surfaces from a single supplier”.

We are very pleased to be able to offer Weinig’s ‘Rotofinish’ technology to our customers,” explained Gregor Baumbusch, ceo of the German group. “This acquisition strengthens our position as a leading supplier of woodworking solutions. Wood window production and underscores our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction“.
