In Germany, the turnover of office furniture increased by 12.9% in the first six months of 2008, keeping up with the trend of last year (+14.5%). Especially sales on the domestic market contributed to this success (+14.5%), whereas export (+9.4%) softly slowed down. The demand from neighbor countries in the EU has decreased, while export to extra-EU countries has absorbed 22.2% of total industry export.
