As was forecast, Rimini Fiera’s decision to stage a new expo dedicated to the woodworking technology and building components has met with positive feedback from the market.
Technodomus, (www.technodomus.com) being held from March 11th to 14th 2009 at Rimini Expo Centre, is currently bring presented to the companies that are key players on the respective markets and important confirmations of participation are arriving, further strengthening a proposal that the market was evidently awaiting.
Simone Castelli, manager of Rimini Fiera business Unit 2 explains, “Technodomus in fact meets a requirement, that of offering manufacturers a reference point on odd-numbered years.We are visiting companies and the project is being met favourably.We have already received confirmation of participation from leading brands of woodworking machines and this trust is very significant.We have noticed great attention on behalf of the companies that use wood in architecture, at a time in which the call for sustainability and energy saving is opening up new business horizons.On the basis of the experience of DomusLegno, which we have acquired and represents one of the two initial expo nuclei, we are working on offering a complete showcase for this new demand from the market.”
Technodomus will occupy four halls (B1, B3, D1 and D3) at Rimini Fiera, with admission through the South entrance. Rimini Fiera is also working on the preparation of a program of meetings that will form a cornice for the expo.A job carried out in close contact with experts and association representing the sector’s companies.
In particular, discussions are under way on appointments dedicated to the most topical issues of building with wood, such as that of designing with organic, sustainable material with surprising physical characteristics, with a focus on durability and energy saving, as well as thermal and acoustic insulation. Another interesting topic will be the examination of new technologies in manufacturing windows and door windows with high energy saving characteristics and production technologies with Cnc machinery. Lastly, the design of gyms, nurseries and other schools, shopping centres and malls, industrial sheds, built with wood and layered wood structures that are not just as the result of new types of building, but a clear expression of a system that is based on the use of eco-sustainable and above all renewable materials.
Technodomus therefore offers a showcase on the state of the art of technology applied to woodworking and the applications of wood in building construction.
