Milan as a pole of creatività. Milan as capital of design. In such a difficult moment, Superstudio turns its attention to companies and their professional needs and decides to focus on communication, research and planning activities. Superstudio’s project for the “Fuori Salone 2009” aims to be something different from what has been done so far in the Tortona district for the Design Week. The purpose is to create “Temporary Museum for New Design” (22-27 April), a place where companies, products and exhibition layouts are carefully selected through an attentive evaluation of the quality of the projects, the brand value and the ability of the designers to be innovative.
Giulio Cappellini is the art director of the project and Gisella Borioli is the project supervisor. “I’m here becouse I’m very attached with this place”, said Mr Cappellini during the press conference “We decided to create this museum to propose something new. In this crisis period, the companies are devoting themselves to a continuous research and innovation and so we think the project will be hight quality one. We would like bring design near the people”.
The “Temporary Museum” will develop around the spacious exhibition areas of Superstudio’s historic locations, connected by a shuttle. Two are the guiding themes: “International Panorama” at Superstudio Più in Via Tortona 27, and “Italians: New Perspectives” through highly emotional installations presented at Superstudio 13, in via Forcella 13.
